GREEN CONNECTOR
Connecting people and nature
Our mission is to reconnect people of all ages with the beauty and calm of nature. Through a range of engaging activities, we inspire individuals and families to explore green spaces and develop a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
From community allotments where people can learn to grow their own food, to guided woodland walks that reveal the wonders of our local environment, we create opportunities for learning, connection, and shared experience that help strengthen a sense of belonging within the community. Our work supports green initiatives that encourage sustainable practices and help everyone enjoy the many benefits that nature provides.
Alongside this, we deliver practical workshops such as growing microgreens, helping people discover simple ways to grow fresh food and connect with gardening, even without access to a garden.
Through these activities, we hope to nurture a community that values, protects, and actively engages with the natural spaces around them.

WHITLEIGH COMMUNITY ALLOTMENT
Open for all - Wednesdays, 10-2pm
Men’s Over 50s Gardening and Social Group - Tuesdays, 10:30-12:30pm
With the cost of living continuing to rise and food prices increasing, the Whitleigh community allotment is a space that helps by supporting and teaching people how to grow their own fruit and veg, as well as sharing out our harvest to community members at our local community markets.
Open to all ages, with volunteering sessions each week for adults and parents with children, keep an eye out for our family-friendly activities in the school holidays.
We also have a few mini plots on the allotment available to adopt.

THE MICROGREENS PROJECT
We’re excited to launch our much-anticipated Micro Greens Project this year, forming part of our wider vision to support community food education and better access to fresh, healthy food.
The off-grid shed is now complete, and we’re ready to start growing our first batches of the tiny, nutrient-packed plants.
We will be looking for volunteers to help us each week, running courses throughout the year to teach people the benefits of microgreens and how to grow them at home, and we’ll be selling our produce to help fund the project and charity.
To get involved please contact Joanna or Pippa .
