Our Story

Whitleigh Community Trust was founded in 2018 by the residents of Whitleigh as the legacy body for the Whitleigh Big Local. The Big Local Programme’s success in bringing together the community and helping to reinvigorate and transform the Whitleigh area had such a positive impact that the Trust was created to ensure that this valuable work could continue and grow beyond the end of the Big Local Programme in 2024. Whitleigh Community Trust carries over the ethos of being resident-led and community-focused, giving a voice to residents and continuity to the important work of Whitleigh Big Local.
